Rain was expected throughout the week. We got a lot of rain on our way up to Tiger Stadium. By the time we got to the Parade Grounds, the rain had died down quite a bit, but it was still coming down. By the time we had set up our new tent, the rain had stopped. Throughout the day, we'd get hit with a little rain here and there. However, by 3:00 p.m., the rain disappeared. By game time, it was nice. A little humid, but given the prediction, we'll take that every week.
We started tailgating early. There was a rush on tailgating spots as Tiger Stadium set an all-time record attendance. The strange thing is that we saw very few Greenies around. We see more visiting SEC fans than we saw Greenie fans. Even walking to the stadium, there were very few Greenie fans.
As I mentioned last year, Bushwood has a new videographer. Here is his picture:

Does this picture look familiar to anyone??? Well, as you can see, the videographer was asleep at the wheel. He forgot his camera. Therefore, we have no videos for you this week. Maybe next week.
It was, of course, a good time had by all. This year we got a new tent (the old tent was stolen from Uncle Gus's backyard). We also got a new "Bushwood SA&PC" sign (we thought the old sign was stolen from Uncle Gus's backyard). We had a number of good things to eat.
In Bushwood news, we've decided to close in ranks and do away with the Bushwood Satellite Social Aid and Pleasure Club and just invite Charles and his gang to join the main Bushwood LSU Chapter.
The game itself was pretty good. You could tell by the first drive (all ONE play of it) that this game could get ugly REAL early. LSU was in control the whole time. Even when Toolame got the score to 17-10, you knew that it wouldn't be long until LSU put it away. The two glaring weaknesses for LSU was the O-Line and the cover corners. The O-Line let Toolame get WAY too much pressure on Davey. Further, the running backs seemed to be tackled before they ever got the ball on quite a few plays. The corners just gave up WAY too many deep timing passes. The worst thing about the passes was that the corners never turned around to look for the ball. Hopefully, Saban can fix these problems. As they say, the most improvement you'll see is from the first game to the second.
And finally, as you can see by some of the game pictures, we were not sitting in our usual seats. I gave some of our seats to my sisters friend for her daughters birthday. Gus, Maria, Steve and I sat in the lower South Endzone. These seats were VERY nice in that they were underneath the South Upper overhang and covered from the elements. A special thanks to Dr. Guidry for selling us these tickets.
