Before I get to Alabama, I thought some of you might be interested to read some of the comments we got in the last two weeks as a result of the MSU page. Clearly, we received more hits in the last two weeks, than we have ever received. While I'm still hoping to keep this page semi-private (e.g., I haven't registered it with search engines), the video of the drunk MSU fan got a lot of attention. Once again, it was an exciting game in Tiger Stadium. The atmosphere hasn't been this good since the Arnsparger days. According to Lloyd, the CBS commentators did not say much about the crowd noise, nor did it seem that loud on the T.V. However, the crowd was as loud for this game as any I've ever been to -- especially with all of the bonehead officiating going on. Clearly, the crowd was instrumental in helping the team finally erase the hex that Bummer had on us for the last 30 years.
The tailgating was limited due to the 2:30 start. However, we got out there around 10:15 and we did have a pretty good turnout. Once again, Uncle Gus did a great job at the grill.
In SA&PC, we now have an "official" satellite club, known as "Bushwood Satellite Social Aid and Pleasure Club." Charles Seeman is the President and they will tailgate right beside us on the Parade Grounds, right in front of the Union. Below is a picture of the Satellite Group:
Next week will be our last Game Notes and Pictures feature. A few of us are making the trek up to Oxfort to watch the Tigers battle Old Piss. As of right now, no Bushwood member (or auxilery member) is planning on making the trip to Little Rock. While many of us have made the trip in the past due to the fact that Shannon's parents live in Arkansas, there are no plans to make the trip this year due, in part, to Shannon's and Lloyd's second child being due in less than a month.
